Ghanaian Deportee Wins Right to Return to UK

A Ghanaian criminal, Samuel Frimpong, who was deported from the UK 12 years ago, will now be able to return under human rights laws. An immigration tribunal, led by Judge Abid Mahmood, overturned a previous decision, citing his depression from family separation as "unjustifiable interference" with his right to a family life. Frimpong's family struggled emotionally and socially without him, and the judge concluded the children couldn't adapt to life in Ghana. Despite his criminal past, Frimpong hasn't reoffended since 2008 and poses "no risk" to others.
