Iconic Voice Silenced: Jesse Colin Young Passes

Jesse Colin Young, legendary frontman of the 1960s band The Youngbloods, has died at 83 in Aiken, South Carolina, due to a heart attack. Born Perry Miller, Young left a lasting mark with hits like “Get Together,” an anthem of peace and unity. The song, initially released in 1967, surged to popularity in 1969. After The Youngbloods disbanded in 1972, Jesse pursued a vibrant solo career. Despite a Lyme disease diagnosis in 2012, he returned to music in 2016. Jesse's legacy lives on through his music, a completed autobiography, and a forthcoming children’s book.
