Liverpool introduces a new Football Match Parking Zone near Everton's stadium to ease traffic and improve air quality.
The zone, covering areas near the Bramley-Moore Dock, aims to reduce congestion on match days. Over 4,000 residents and 3,000 businesses can apply for permits.
Free permits for residents, £50 for businesses, are now available. New taxi ranks, bus stands, and revised parking restrictions will be implemented.
The zone serves a 52,888-capacity stadium, set to host the UEFA European Championships in 2028. The council will monitor its effectiveness over the next 18 months.
